The internal memory is 4 GB which can be further expanded to additional 32 GB using MicroSD card slot. RAM is 512 MB. Gionee P2 comes with a 5 MP rear end camera with LED flash and a VGA front camera. The battery is a 1700mAH powered battery and Gionee P2 is available in Black and White colours. Priced at Rs 6499, this is one of the budget Jelly Bean options in India.

Nokia 515

Nokia 515Nokia 515

Nokia 515 is a feature phone that can provide a tough challenge to many high-end smartphones when it comes to design and looks. The shift from traditional plastic backs to an all aluminium feature phone is definitely impressive.Nokia 515 comes with a 2.4" QVGA display. The screen is made out of Gorilla Glass 2 for improved durability. Nokia 515 comes with a regular alpha-numeric keyboard. The keypad is made of resin and blended in with the device.Nokia 515 comes with a 5 MP camera and LED flash. The camera is not another basic cam but supports various modes like panorama, sequential shot and self portrait for selfie lovers. There’s no front cam but the rear end snapper comes with voice-support which assists in getting that perfect self-shot!Nokia 515 comes with HD voice quality and supports 3.5G. Nokia has also made transferring contacts easier with their Transfer app which syncs contacts with any device, irrespective of the OS. Nokia 515 comes with 1200 mAh battery. The feature phone comes in two variants, single SIM and dual-SIM though we are pretty confident that it will be the dual-SIM variant that will come to India. Priced at 149 USD, the phone is a budget feature-phone and is expected to launch in September.

Xolo Q1000S

Xolo Q1000SXolo Q1000S

Apart from being the latest flagship, Xolo Q1000S is also the most expensive smartphone in the Xolo portfolio.Following the tradition of most phone-makers, Xolo Q1000S too comes with a 5-inch screen. The phablet’s HD IPS Display comes with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels.Xolo Q1000S comes with Android Jelly Bean ver. 4.2. The phone is a sleek and slim device with just 6.9mm thickness.Under the hood, Xolo Q1000S runs a quad-core MTK 6589T processor clocked at 1.5GHz. The phone comes with 16 GB internal memory and there is just one memory variant. Also, the phone comes without a memory card slot, making it slightly restrictive. The RAM is 1 GB. Xolo Q1000S comes with a 13 MP rear end camera with a BSI 2 Sensor. Xolo Q1000S is also capable of capturing full HD videos using the rear camera. The camera supports HDR and panorama modes, other than the usual options. The front camera is a 5 MP snapper. Xolo Q1000S comes with a generous 2500 mAh battery that should last users for a day of heavy use. There’s just one colour option and the phone comes with all the regular connectivity options. Priced at priced at Rs 18,999, the phone is a medium-range device.

Micromax Canvas Doodle 2

Micromax Canvas Doodle 2Micromax Canvas Doodle 2

Micromax launched their Canvas Doodle 2, the 5.7-inch phablet in India recently. Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 comes with a 5.7-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Just like Samsung Note series, Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 also comes with a stylus. For some strange reason, Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 runs Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1 instead of Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2. Under the hood of Micromax Canvas 4 runs a MTK Quad-core 1.2 GHz processor with a Cortex-A7 ARM. The phablet comes with 16 GB internal memory of which 13 GB is user-available. Unfortunately, there is no memory card slot. The RAM is 1 GB.  The highlight of the phone, just like the trend these days, is clearly the camera. Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 comes with a 12 MP rear end camera with a 5 MP front-cam. The rear end camera comes with dual-LED flash. The front-camera is a 5 MP camera for selfie-lovers and for video-calling. The whole package is powered by a 2600 mAh battery and the connectivity options are all the same. Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 supports all the software tweaks, yes, even the kiss to unlock-style weird ones, of the Canvas 4. But for a phone priced at Rs 19,990 (official price) the features disappoint. While other phone-makers might get away with a higher price-tag, Micromax symbolises improved features at a better price

LG L9 II

LG Optimus L9 IILG Optimus L9 II

LG launched their LG L9 II smartphone last week. The smartphone is yet to come to the Indian shores but has created quite a buzz. LG L9 II comes with a True HD-IPS LCD 4.7-inch display screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The phone runs on the slightly outdated Android Jelly Bean version 4.1.2. Under the hood runs a dual-core 1.4 GHz Krait processor. LG L9 II comes with 8 GB internal memory which can be further expanded to 32 GB using MicroSD card. The phone comes with 1 GB RAM. LG L9 II comes with an 8 MP rear end snapper with an LED flash and a 1.3 MP front-camera. The phone comes with Li-Ion 2150 mAh battery and is available in Black and White colours. There’s no word on pricing yet and LG plans to launch the phone later this year.
